WEST BEND — The City of West Bend's fireworks show is still going on, with some changes.

The City of West Bend said its annual Horicon Bank Fourth of July Fireworks Display was still taking place on July 4 at dusk, but Riverside Park would be closed to spectators.

The city said that the show would not include ground displays, but instead incorporate high-flying fireworks that will be visible from afar.

West Bend residents are encouraged to watch the fireworks from their homes or on the City of West Bend Facebook page.

Spectators are able to park on streets near Riverside Park but are asked to stay near their vehicle.

The Fourth of July Parade and Regner Park activities will not take place.

“We are proud to continue this important Independence Day tradition for our residents,” said Mayor Christophe E. Jenkins in a press release. “Thanks to our fireworks sponsor Horicon Bank for making this annual event possible.”
