Ascension Wisconsin will hold its first COVID-19 vaccine clinic for frontline caregivers Thursday, Dec. 17.

In a release, Ascension said the first group eligible to receive vaccinations will be frontline caregivers, specifically those serving in emergency departments and COVID-19 units.

"We are confident our plan will effectively and safely contribute to the protection of the communities we are privileged to serve," said Ascension Wisconsin Chief Clinical Officer Dr. Greg Brusko.

According to Brusko, the remainder of associates will be eligible for vaccination as more doses become available.

"As we await widespread distribution of the COVID-19 vaccines, it will be critical for our entire community to continue wearing masks, watching distance from others and washing hands frequently to protect ourselves and those around us," said Brusko.
