The Italian Community Center Board Directors announced that the 2021 Festa Italiana will be canceled due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Organizers say that preparations were on track to proceed; however, directors deemed canceling was the best course of action.

“COVID-19 has impacted virtually every business and industry across the country. Around the world festivals, sporting events, conferences, and community celebrations have been cancelled, or postponed, due to lingering effects of this virus,” said President of the Italian Community Center and Festa Director said Joe Emanuele. "“Unfortunately, Festa Italiana in Milwaukee is among the festivals that will have to wait until next year.”

The board of directors did say that Festa Italiana will return "bigger and better than ever" in 2022.
