WISCONSIN — Milwaukee Brewers' Ryan Braun and Christian Yelich teamed up with 3rd Street Market Hall to provide thousands of meals to health care workers.

According to a press release, this partnership will provide meals to health care workers at four major hospital networks. These networks are Froedtert Hospital and Medical College of Wisconsin network, Ascension Wisconsin, Children’s Wisconsin, and Aurora Health Care.

The pledges from Yelich and Braun caused several local companies to join in and support the cause. This companies include American Family Insurance, Associated Bank, Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Company, and Sargento.

“We’re grateful to be able to provide our healthcare workers with a meal to show our gratitude for how much they’ve been doing in this trying time! We’re all in this fight together and will get through it together,” said Christian Yelich.

The donations will kick off Sunday when 1,000 meals will be delivered to Froedtert Hospital.

“Thank you to all the healthcare heroes, first responders and front line workers for tirelessly working to keep all of us safe,” Braun stated. “We are eternally grateful for your selflessness and inspired by your courage and strength."
