The festival that brings kites of all sizes to Veterans Park was originally scheduled to take place May 23rd and May 24th, but the state will still be under a Safer a Home order during that time so festival organizers are forced to choose a different date,
A new date has not been set yet, but Gift of Wings stores in Milwaukee, Greendale and Franklin are open as usual. The Wilde Subaru Frank Mots Int'l Kite Festival is still on for Sept. 12 and 13 as well.
If you are looking to get outside and send a kite flying through the air, remember to follow coronavirus guidelines by washing your hand and keeping a distance of 6 ft. from others.
