All boxing competitions at the Tokyo Games will be held at Ryōgoku Kokugikan. Located in the Sumida ward of Tokyo, the facility has an estimated capacity of over 11,000 spectators, though it can only hold 7,000 for boxing events.

An Olympic boxing ring is a square with sides measuring 6.10 meters (20 feet) inside the ropes. The height of the ring must be 100 centimeters (3 feet, 3 inches) from the ground. The surface of the ring must be made of non-slippery material.

Each boxer is assigned to a corner that matches the color to their uniform - either red or blue. The other two corners are white in color and are considered neutral corners.

Four ropes go around the perimeter of the ring, with heights of 40 centimeters (15.7 inches), 70 centimeters (27.6 inches), 100 centimeters (39.4 inches) and 130 centimeters (51.2 inches) from the surface of the ring.

Among the list of ring accessories are required for all bouts are a gong and two plastic receptacles for spitting.
