The Mequon Fire Department was a pup’s best friend after they saved a dog that fell through the ice on the Milwaukee River.
The department shared pictures of the rescue on its Facebook page Thursday.
Firefighters remind everyone not to travel out onto ice unless you are 100 percent sure of its thickness.
