Congratulations are in order for country singer Tyler Hubbard! The Florida Georgia Line’s frontman and his wife, Hayley, just welcomed their second child, a baby boy.

The baby was born on Aug. 19, weighing 8 pounds, 11 ounces. They named him Luca Reed Hubbard.

Not long after the little guy arrived, his dad took to Instagram to celebrate the arrival of his son and send a sweet message to his wife:

“Words can’t describe the overwhelming emotions that I experienced last night as we witnessed the miracle of life. I couldn’t be more proud of my amazing wife @hayley_hubbard through this whole journey. She’s an absolute angel and meant to be a mother. I thank God for answering our prayers and bringing Luca into the world peacefully and smoothly. I didn’t think life could get any better but it just did.”

The musician finished off the message by calling his son his “new riding buddy.”

The words came along with the first photo of his wife, son and their new little family, as part of a People magazine exclusive:

The couple also has a daughter, Olivia, who was born in December 2017. Shortly before Luca arrived, the family posted a series of adorable photos, their last as a family of four (counting the dog, of course).

The Hubbards thought they were welcoming a son during their first pregnancy, but after finding out the initial blood test was incorrect, they were excited to learn they’d be having a daughter.

“Gods [sic] got jokes,” the then dad-to-be wrote on Instagram at the time. “After thinking we are having a boy for the last few months, turns out the blood test was wrong and we’re actually having a little girl.”

Despite having a name picked out for their “baby boy,” when the couple found out their second child would be a boy, they went a different route, choosing the name Luca instead.

In an exclusive interview with People magazine, the mom explained that they loved the name Luca, as it means “bringer of light.”

“It also reminds us of Italy, which is one of our happy places!” Hayley said.

“It’s not the same one we had picked for our ‘first boy,'” she told People, referring to the false reading on the blood test. “For some reason, that name just didn’t seem to fit the way Luca did.”

We couldn’t be happier for the family and their little “bringer of light!”
