If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, then Wisconsinites should feel good about a Saturday Night Live sketch.
SNL unveiled a skit called “Fond du Lac Action News” on Saturday night’s show with the tag line “Top of the hour from the bottom of the lake.”
Host Jonah Hill paired up with regular cast member Cecily Strong to form an anchor team for the fictional news operation WLFD.
The anchors and reporters make liberal use of the Wisconsin accent and drop references to Winterfest, the Wisconsin Badgers and a lottery segment where viewers have a chance to get “Fond du lucky.”
And like most Wisconsin gatherings, it ends with food.
Looks like TMJ4 has some new competition.
