MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee residents are getting ready for another exciting summer weekend with plenty of things happening around the state.

Our friends at Visit Milwaukee are giving us a hand with breaking down everything you need to know for a great weekend ahead.

Mexican Fiesta:
The festival bringing the sound, taste and culture of Mexico will return to the Milwaukee lakefront this weekend. The event will be on the Summerfest grounds Friday through Sunday. For ticket information, click here.

Chords & Curds:
Can't think of a more Wisconsin way to spend your Saturday? The Chords & Curds Festival brings the cheese and the beats to benefit the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music. Information is available here.

Milwaukee's 'First Oktoberfest':
Kegel's Inn in West Allis is getting a head start on the festivities with Milwaukee's "First Oktoberfest" this Friday and Saturday. In its seventh year, the "First Oktoberfest" festivities will be held from 58th to 60th Street on National Avenue and start at 4 p.m. Friday.

National Dog Day Patio Party:
Come spend time on the patio at Great Lakes Distillery with your pup. Organizers will offer Watermelon Pup-tinis for the pooches! The distillery added an outside bar so you don’t have to find a dog sitter in order to get your dog-themed cocktails!

Hip-Hop Week Events:
Hip-Hop Week MKE is a community-wide awareness event fueled by the celebration of the Hip-Hop culture through music, art, informative discussions, wellness, violence, civic engagement, financial literacy and health. For information on events, click here.
