WAUWATOSA -- Parades and festivities happened all around southeast Wisconsin as Wauwatosa kicked off its annual parade early Thursday morning.

8-year-old Nadia Reggini enjoyed all the red, white, and blue, but she’s also keeping an eye out for something else too.

“The best part would probably be the candy,” Reggini said.

While some kids toss it, others make a grab for it —some even collecting more candy than they can count.

With more 100 floats and participants —including TODAY'S TMJ4's own Tom Durian, and about 25,000 thousand spectators, Governor Evers handed out handshakes and smiles.

“The best part is to be here with all my family and just like having fun,” Ella Joiner said.

And the Tosa' fun doesn't just end with the parade. The fun and excitement will continue throughout the day with family fun at Hart Park beginning at 4:00 pm, and the fireworks spectacular slated for 9:15 pm.
