The Estabrook Park Beer Garden was named one of the best in the U.S. by the online food and entertainment website Thrillist this month.
Estabrook was named among beer gardens across the country, including Brooklyn, Chicago, Las Vegas and Austin, Texas.

The site praised Estabrook’s BYO-stein policy, and its traditional Wisconsin Friday fish-fry.
“If you want to visit a quite literal beer garden, we direct you to Estabrook, a spot located in Estabrook Park along the Milwaukee River that's so legit, it's out of the public transit's reach. (The official site recommends arriving by 'foot, bicycle, automobile, kayak, or canoe'),” the post said.
Estabrook prides itself on being the first public beer garden in the United States since Prohibition.
