***FLASH FLOOD WATCH: For all of southeast Wisconsin from 7 a.m. Tuesday through 10 a.m. Wednesday.***

Sunday was the first true fall day with dreary conditions, heavy drizzle and temps in the 50s…and that continued into this morning. But conditions quickly changed with a warm front. The sun was out, the humidity became tropical and temperatures went into the mid 80s….just a few degrees shy of a record. We went from fall to July in the matter of a few hours. No rain tonight, but it stays warm and very muggy with lows near 70. There is a chance for a few showers Tuesday morning, but the heavy rain and t’storms start midday and throughout the evening and overnight. All of SE Wisconsin is under a Flash Flood Watch from 7am Tuesday until 10am Wednesday. The entire area could see 2-3” of rain by midday Wednesday. Tuesday remains warm and muggy with a high near 80…then the big changes.

The cold front arrives Wednesday with highs only in the low 60s along with a NE breeze at 20 mph and scattered showers. A few showers are possible Thursday morning, then it is partly cloudy, very windy and cool. Highs will only be in the upper 50s along with a 20-40 mph north wind. Friday is sunny and cool with temps in the 50s, and more rain arrives for Saturday with highs in the 50s.
