Up to 8 inches of snow forecasted for southeastern Wisconsin

and last updated

It is day 10 of the arctic outbreak and this past weekend was the worst yet. Most of us never got above 0 on Sunday and this morning we woke up to -4 in Milwaukee, -10 in Waukesha and -20 in Fond du Lac. Rhinelander was -33 with a wind chill of -50. The cold is staying for a few more days and now we have to deal with more snow. Thursday night had 2" of snow, Saturday 2-3" and now we are looking at 2-8" along the lakefront tonight. A huge winter storm passing to our south would have dropped 1-2" for most of us as it tracked south, but the NE wind will cause lake effect into Tuesday morning. Sheboygan is under a Winter Weather Advisory until noon Tuesday. Sheboygan will get 2" of snow and Milwaukee 3-5" of snow. Milwaukee, Racine and Kenosha counties are under a Winter Storm Warning until noon Tuesday with 5-8" of snow. Inland areas will have 1-2" and some areas well west will see no snow.

Monday snowstorm hits southeastern Wisconsin

Lows tonight will be 6 in Milwaukee to -5 inland with wind chills to -15. The lake effect snow tapers off before noon and highs will be in the teens. A slow warming trend begins on Wednesday with a high of 22 and Thursday is 25. We could see less than 1" of snow Thursday night. Friday and Saturday are near 20 and then we really warm-up on Sunday with a high of 33 - yes above freezing. However, we are tracking more snow for Sunday ...stay tuned.
