Showers and storms, then much cooler

and last updated

We are wrapping up this warm and windy Monday afternoon with fair skies and temperatures in the 60s. A fast-moving cold front will move through SE Wisconsin tonight, bringing a chance for showers and possibly a few thunderstorms. The potential for severe weather is low but winds could gust over 40 mph as the front rolls through our area. Once we’re done with the showers and thunderstorms, expect gradual clearing and colder temperatures during the overnight with lows in the upper 20s and lower 30s. Tuesday will be mostly sunny, cooler and breezy with highs in the 40s.

On Wednesday morning we could briefly see some scattered snow showers, but rain is expected in the afternoon with highs in the lower 50s. Chances for scattered rain showers return for Thursday otherwise conditions will remain partly cloudy with highs in the lower 50s. Rain looks likely for Friday with highs near 50°.
