Freeze Warning in effect Friday morning for several counties

and last updated

We got to enjoy another sunny day, but the brisk NE wind has kept afternoon temps in the 40s near the lakefront while inland areas are enjoying highs near 60. With the dry air, temps drop rapidly this evening and lows tonight will be in the low 30s.

Frost is expected for most areas, but a Freeze Warning goes in effect late tonight for Sheboygan, Fond du Lac, Dodge and Washington counties and temps drop to 30. Friday is not pleasant with some clouds, highs struggling to reach 40, and a strong north wind making it feel worse.

There is a Freeze Watch for Friday night and Saturday morning for all of SE Wisconsin...even the lakefront. Morning lows drop into the upper 20s and that could do some damage to budding trees. Saturday afternoon is sunny and breezy with highs in the mid 50s.

Mother's Day is still dreary and rainy with highs only in the 40s. Monday and Tuesday both have morning frost with afternoon sun and highs in the low 50s.
