Rainy and strong winds Wednesday night

and last updated 2020-06-10 23:58:30-04

This afternoon was warm and humid before scattered t'storms fired up with heavy rainfall in a few areas. The rest of the evening will see widespread rain showers and a strong westerly wind to 35 mph. The sticky air will also be replaced with drier air so we can open up the windows once the rain moves out. The rain will be out of here before 10pm, then the clouds clear out and temps drop into the upper 50s overnight...much better than the muggy 70 this morning. Thursday is sunny, windy and warm with highs in the upper 70s. The big change will be the low humidity and the west wind gusting to 30 mph.

Bigger changes happen on Friday as the wind shifts to the NE and highs are stuck in the 60s in Milwaukee despite a lot of sun. Inland will enjoy the 70s. That pattern continues for the weekend with a NE wind at 10-15 mph keeping the lakefront near 60 for highs and inland areas in the low 70s. Of course we warm up again during the week with 70s by Monday, and 80s the rest of the week. The week looks to be sunny and dry.
