Friday morning has some flurries with highs near 10

and last updated

The clouds moved in this afternoon after a high of 16 in Milwaukee to lower teens inland, the warmest day of the week with wind chills still below 0. The light snow is moving in and will be with us this evening and until 4am. This is very light and fluffy snow due to the cold, dry air and we will wake up to 1-2" of accumulation. The clouds will also keep us warmer tonight with a low of 7 in Milwaukee to -1 inland, much better than the -15 all week. Friday morning will have some flurries otherwise it is a cloudy and breezy day with highs near 10. Yes the wind increases and that keeps wind chills below 0 all day.

Another weak storm system moves into the area late Friday night and will be gone before noon Saturday. You can expect another 1-2" of fluffy snow followed by gusty winds and very cold air. Saturday night drops to -7 along the lake to -13 inland with wind chills to -30. Sunday's highs barely get above 0 and wind chills will be -20 all day. Monday morning will be the coldest yet with lows of -9 to -16 and wind chills -35 or colder. There is finally some relief with highs in the 20s by Wednesday.
