Late Sunday snow

MILWAUKEE — We've got a bit of sunshine on this Saturday but it isn't helping warm us up much as temperatures topped out in the low 30s today with a northeast wind. Tonight the wind will start to turn from the southeast and that will keep temperatures a bit more seasonal with lows in the mid-20s near Lake Michigan and low 20s inland with increasing clouds tonight.

Sunday will be mostly to partly cloudy with highs in the upper 30s and a light southeast wind. An area of low pressure passes to our south in the evening and this will bring the chance for a brief wintry mix moving in from the south between 6pm and 10pm. As temperature fall at night the wintry mix chance will turn over to a snow chance from 10pm through 6am on Monday. Generally less than an inch of snowfall is expected south of Milwaukee, less than a half an inch in Milwaukee and a dusting or less of snow accumulation on the grass is expected north of I-94. Do not bother shoveling this snow if you do see any accumulation since temperature will climb into the mid-40s on Monday with clearing skies to melt the snow. Monday will be a great day to get outside and catch some fresh air without having to bundle up as much.

Tuesday will start out dry so get a walk in during the morning hours as the clouds will return by the afternoon with rain chances by the evening, this stays all as rain with highs in the upper 40s. 50s are back for Wednesday with partly sunny skies and a chance for some sprinkles. More scattered rain chances are in the forecast for the rest of the week but the best chance comes Friday through Saturday with a brief wintry mix possible.
