Cold evening, snow expected for Halloween

and last updated 2019-10-29 23:40:17-04

After waking up to 0.2" to nearly 4" of white snow we did see the sunshine today, even though it didn't warm us up much. A cold northwest wind will calm tonight as clouds stream in late, temperatures will fall below freezing for all with upper 20s inland.

Wednesday will be cloudy and cold, high of 41 degrees, with a chance for some light rain mainly south of I-94, transitioning to snow after sunset. The snow ramps up on Thursday and it will be chilly with highs only in the upper 30s, feeling colder when you add in a north wind at 15-20mph so bundle up those goblins and ghouls who still have trick-or-treating to do. Right now snowfall totals of 2-5" of snow is forecast with the highest totals from West Bend through Whitewater but stay tuned as the track could change.

Friday will still be frigid with highs in the upper 30s and a breezy wind keeping us cold but it will at least be partly cloudy. 30s continue through the weekend with a few flurries possible on Saturday. 40s return for the work week and rain chances return for Tuesday to melt any left over snow.
