Clear Tuesday night, mostly sunny Wednesday morning

and last updated

We are wrapping up this beautiful Tuesday afternoon with mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the 50s. Tonight will be mostly clear with lows in the mid to upper 30s. Some locations farther inland could drop down to the freezing mark. Wednesday will start out mostly sunny but expect increasing clouds in the afternoon with highs in the upper 50s and lower 60s; the rain will hold off until late Wednesday night.

On Thursday, we’ll be tracking a system moving across the northern Plains which will likely bring some rain into the area. Right now, it looks like some rumbles of thunder will be possible Thursday afternoon but the potential for severe weather is low. Highs on Thursday will climb into the mid to upper 60s. We’ll get a break from the rain on Friday with partly cloudy skies and highs in the 60s. More showers and thunderstorms will be possible late Saturday afternoon; highs will range from the mid 60s by the lake to near 70° inland.
