Cool & crisp Tuesday morning

and last updated

The weekend was rainy and humid, but the cold front arrived on schedule overnight with refreshing air when you woke up. After 2 weeks of higher humidity, it finally felt comfortable and cool with lows in the 50s. The first day of fall (2:50am) was mostly sunny, windy and nice with highs in the mid 70s and a westerly wind gusting to 30 mph. The dry air leads to a cool night with lows in the upper 40s to mid 50s under a clear sky. The dry air, SW wind to 25 mph, and a lot of sun warms us up into the upper 70s on Tuesday. Tuesday night will have t’showers moving in after midnight and should be out of here by early Wednesday morning.

The rest of Wednesday is partly cloudy and windy with a high of 74. Behind the front, Thursday is sunny and cool with highs only in the 60s. Friday is cloudy and damp with t’showers off and on all day and a strong SW wind to 30 mph. Behind that storm system, the weekend will get you into the fall spirit with highs in the 60s and lows near 50. Both days have an isolated chance for a shower.
