J.J. Watt has probably eaten more food by 9 a.m. than you’ll eat all day.

Obviously a 6-foot-5, 289-pound All-Pro defensive end needs a lot of sustenance, but you may be surprised at exactly how much food the Pewaukee native puts away on an everyday basis.

Watt told GQ magazine recently he regularly consumes more than 5,000 calories a day.

“It’s like a job. I eat two breakfasts, two lunches, and two dinners throughout the day. It’s always eating.”

And here we thought when Watt was merely being funny on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” a couple of weeks ago when he was cracking eggs on his head and eating them raw.

Turns out he was just hungry.
