Hundreds of hot air balloons soared over the horizon Sunday morning in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
It was the city's 45th annual International Balloon Fiesta.
The weather was perfect as balloons of all shapes and sizes took to the skies at dawn.
There must have been a convergence in the force as the Darth Vader and Yoda balloons launched into the sky side-by-side.
The mass ascension included more than 500 balloons from all over the world.
The festival has drawn close to a million visitors to New Mexico.
