The Wisconsin Badgers canceled the open football practice scheduled at Custer Stadium in Milwaukee, according to the athletic department.
In a news release Wednesday, the department said due to thunderstorms in the weather forecast the team decided to cancel the event.
“It’s disappointing that we’re unable to go to Milwaukee,” said head coach Paul Chryst in the release. “I know there was a lot of planning that took place and I’d like to thank Bill Molbeck of Milwaukee Public Schools for all his help. Our hope is to be able to visit at some point in the future.”
The practice was scheduled for Thursday.
