Edgerton, Wisconsin's Steve Stricker will lead America in a major international team golf event next year.
The Golf Channel reports that Stricker will be U.S. captain for the 2017 U.S. Presidents Cup team when the team tournament is held in Jersey City, New Jersey next year. The event will be televised on TODAY'S TMJ4.
Stricker has participated in the last four Preisdents Cups, which pair the U.S. against all other non-European nations in a Ryder Cup-style format.
"I've gained a lot of experience being part of these teams. I've been an assistant captain the last couple years," he said. "I'll take those as learning (experiences)...hopefully you come out on top."
