The Connecticut women’s basketball team goes for the program’s 100th consecutive win Monday against South Carolina (21-2).

The Huskies (23-0) have won 145 of their last 146 games, with their only loss coming in overtime at Stanford in November 2014. Since that game, 97 of UConn’s 99 wins have come by at least ten points.

UConn has played 21 ranked opponents over this streak, including when South Carolina was ranked number one in 2015. UConn won that game by 25 points.

UCLA holds the longest winning streak in men’s college basketball history, posting 88 straight wins in the 1970s. The UConn women surpassed that streak in 2010.

UConn has won six of the last eight NCAA titles, and has appeared in nine straight Final Fours. Head coach Geno Auriemma is 978-134 in his 32 seasons at Connecticut, with 11 NCAA championships.

Five UConn players have been taken number one overall in the WNBA draft under Auriemma, with seven others being selected in the top five.
