The Midwest and Wisconsin state trials of the youth futsal trials at University School are now underway.

Kids 10 to 18-years-old are trying out this exciting and growing sport.

Pro Futsal League Commissioner Keith Tozer said the game has helped professional players rise to the top level.

“Futsal is played in the streets around the world, or in small areas,” Tozer said. “And it's been touted as the developer of some of the best players in the world so Neymar, Messi, Ronaldo, they've all said in some form of media I am who I am because in my country, I grew up playing Futsal.”

Futsal is a faster version of soccer usually played indoor with four field players and a goalkeeper.
