Lakeland University's new turf debuted over the holiday weekend.
The home and season opener, along with the new field and first game under the lights, all created a bunch of excitement at the Sheboygan County school.
"It's an exciting time here at Lakeland in general. You know, we have this project going on. The campus center is getting renovated so it's an exciting time with that...And just people on campus are excited. You know, they're excited to see our football team," Colin Bruton says.
"What do you guys say, and what does it do for morale for the players and the campus?" Lance Allan asked.
"It boosts us up. Gives us a little more energy. Everybody is really, honestly I can't say that enough," Michael Whitley said.
