Special Olympics gold medalist from Wisconsin joins ESPN

An amazing opportunity for a Special Olympics athlete from Wisconsin: Daina Shilts is joining ESPN for coverage of the Special Olympics USA games next month.

Daina is a decorated snow-boarder from central Wisconsin. She is a multiple World-Games gold medalist.

She will provide commentary during the games' opening ceremonies as well as produce a nightly segment on the athlete, coach and volunteer experience at the games.

ESPN announced Shilts will be part of its coverage team for the Special Olympics National Games which begin July 1st in Seattle.
