Had Marquette University successfully done its job Friday night, an employee of Berkshire Hathaway would reportedly have become $1 million richer.

Yahoo Sports reports that Berkshire Hathaway employee Warren Buffett holds a contest for $100,000 to anyone whose NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament bracket lasts the longest in the company, or $1 million per year for life if they have a perfect bracket.

This year, if someone had a perfect first round bracket, Buffett would have made it $1 million.

Reporter Daniel Roberts says that one employee had 29 consecutive picks correct, but for the 30th game in the round, Marquette's loss meant that the employee lost the chance at a cool million.

Instead, that employee still gets $100,000.
