Three women from Wisconsin will have gold medals around their necks when they return to the land of cheese from the Rio 2016 Paralympic Summer Games.
Vanessa Erskine (Whitewater), Becca Murray (Germantown) and Christina Schwab (Dane) all earn gold after Team USA's women's wheelchair basketball team took the gold medal in that sport.
Team USA beat Germany 62-45 in the gold medal game Friday.
The American men will play for gold against Spain on Sunday. Nate Hinze (Cedar Grove) and Jake Williams (Milwaukee) are part of that team.
