Houston Texans superstar and Pewaukee native JJ Watt will be the Grand Marshal for this year's Daytona 500.

Watt will be the first NFL player to give the command to start the engines at one of NASCAR's biggest races, now in its 61st running.
“I am honored to have the opportunity to serve as Grand Marshal for this year’s ‘Great American Race,’ ” Watt said in a news release. “The Daytona 500 is a truly iconic event with a rich history and I am very much looking forward to taking in the action up close and personal this year.”
The race will be this Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
