Kimberly High School has had a year to relish being WIAA Division 1 football champions with the goal of defending the crown and constructing a possible dynasty.
Arrowhead High School has had a year to endure the memory of losing the 2014 title game to Kimberly, and hope for a chance at redemption and possibly revenge.
All that comes to fruition Friday in the Division 1 title game.
These two teams have lose one game combined - Arrowhead's defeat at the hands of Muskego on October 16. They've survived two close contests in the last two rounds - 28-21 over Oconomowoc in the quarterfinals and 20-17 in the semifinals over Franklin.
Kimberly has been a scoring machine - 46.2 points per game. They haven't scored less than 33 points in any game all year. They haven't played a close game since Sept. 18, a 35-28 win over Appleton North.
