The 192nd meeting between these two legendary franchises takes place on a day they have never played, Thanksgiving.  No two teams have met on the gridiron more times than the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers.

Green Bay can tie the overall series with a victory. As it stands now, the Bears have won 93 times the Packers 92 and there have been six ties.  The last time the Packers had a lead in this series was 1932, when Green Bay held an 11-10-5 advantage

This promises to be an emotional, historic night in the NFL’s most historic stadium as the Packers officially retire the No. 4 for Brett Favre.  It goes up on the North façade along with No. 14 Don Hutson, No. 3 Tony Canadeo, No. 15 Bart Starr, No. 66 Ray Nitschke, No. 92 Reggie White.

On Thanksgiving night, they will officially install Brett’s number in its rightful place.

The three greatest quarterbacks in the history of the Green Bay franchise will all be there for the moment as Bart makes what might be his last trip to Lambeau Field.  Starr has been battling health problems over the past year and has worked hard to be able to make it to Green Bay for this big occasion.

As for the game, the Packers have won six of the last seven and 10 of the last 11 games against the Bears, including the season opener 31-23 at Chicago ten and a half weeks ago.
