ASHWAUBENON, Wis. --A new public area next to Lambeau Field has officially opened.

On Friday, the community gathered to celebrate all the new features Titletown Park has to offer with live music, face painting and more.

Titletown Park is off and running, as the Packers open it to the community, one that lives and breathes Green Bay football.

"I'm anxious to see all the things and now that the fences are down, it's going to be an opportunity for me to take the grandchildren and explore and be close to Lambeau Field. So it's going to be exciting," said Fran Renn-Malcheski, Packers fan.

"The packers have always been a big part of the community. It's nice of them to extend themselves, a little bit too. Free for the kids and the playground, a snow hill and all that, it's wonderful!" said Joe Emer, Packers fan.

One of the main attractions is a full length football field that can be used for anything from exercise classes, to scoring your own touchdowns.

"Oh I’m excited. It's, you know it's been a long process. It's very rewarding to see it now, but I’m really happy, particularly with the kids here, between the football field and the play ground," said Mark Murphy, Packers president.

Murphy says he hopes the Titletown District will entice more young families to live in the area, as well as help bring in new business.
