Preview

Thursday's Packers-Steelers game will be the last time the Green Bay Packers will play at home until the regular season.

For that reason, you can expect to see the presence of quarterback Aaron Rodgers on the field, perhaps if only for a series or two.

That means the position battles that are most high-profile for the Packers in August will still commence at high level - that being backup quarterback. You should expect to see a lot of both DeShone Kizer and Brett Hundley.

A lot of attention will also be placed on the battle for wide receiver slots - particularly with the high productivity from Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Equanimeous St. Brown and Jake Kumerow last week against Tennessee. They, J'Mon Moore and DeAngelo Yancey are battling for what is expected to be the fourth, fifth and sixth receiver spots on the roster. Davante Adams, Randall Cobb and Geronimo Allison should get the others.

That's just the surface of things in the midst of 90 Packers fighting for 53 roster spots, and the second time in game situations they'll get a chance to show they belong.

Stay tuned.
