Preview

Divisional gamedays mean more than most. Today's Green Bay Packers-Detroit Lions game is a big one, a must-win in many ways, because it's a "should win."

But as the Lions proved against the New England Patriots...any given Sunday.

The Packers go into Detroit with the opportunity to raise their record to 3-1-1 to...didn't think this was going to happen, did you...keep pace with the 3-1 Chicago Bears in the NFC North.

But a loss puts them at 2-2-1, an average record for a team that has played inconsistent so far this year.

The Lions are 1-3 under new coach Matt Patricia, but they have been very successful at stifling enemy passing games, with the second-ranked pass defense in football.

Where they struggle is defending the run - the worst run defense in the NFL, one which the Packers could take advantage of after a 141-yard output last Sunday against Buffalo.

Of course, the Packers' injury bug has hit very hard in this early season. We'll know who will be active after injuries at about 10:30 a.m. today.

Division road games are sometimes the toughest to win. Even against a team the Packers should be, it's never easy.

Stay tuned.
