Green Bay Packers fans had limited moments of celebration during Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons, but many are still calling the season a success.
"I'm still feeling pretty happy," said Rachel Thomson, a lifelong fan who flew all the way from California to attend a watch party at her grandparent's house in Franklin.
She says as a child, her dad would make her and her sister memorize the team roster.
"The Packers had a great season," she said. "Always happy to watch them. There's always next year I guess."
In nearby Muskego, the Cieslak brothers pulled out all the stops, hoping a cheese hat and a spontaneous game-day purchase might bring some luck.
But in the end, nothing could turn the game around.
"It's been a great run," said Steve Cieslak. "They weren't even supposed to make it this far so to be here, win or lose, it's been a great season."
And at the Hometown Call at Turner Hall watch party, hosted by 620 WTMJ, yes fans were sad, but the packers progress this season was still something to celebrate.
"I think with the start you had, you still have to quantify it as a success," said Steve Jennings. "They were in a rough spot. They've come a long way."
