Pregame story

Now, the Green Bay Packers are in must-win territory. Maybe not literally, but perhaps in spirit.

Three straight losses, all in games where they gave up at least 31 points, have put the Packers behind the eight ball in the playoff race. A win against Washington tonight is very important.

Yes, they are only one game out of the NFC North lead, but amidst numerous rumblings including "implosion" between Aaron Rodgers and Mike McCarthy - with such rumblings being called "comical" by Jordy Nelson - the team has major recovery to do.

They have to begin against a playoff team from last year, one which they beat in the NFC wild card game.

Green Bay's getting a little healthier - but yet face major injury issues without T.J. Lang on the offensive line Sunday. Clay Matthews and Jared Cook are listed as questionable as well.

Will the recovery begin? Or will a four-game losing streak ensue to put the Packers in even more dire straits?
