EA Sports is slowly releasing its player ratings ahead of the "Madden 18" release and no surprise, Aaron Rodgers appears towards the top of the charts.

In releasing the top five players at each position, the Green Bay Packers quarterback earned a 98 overall rating, including a 97 grade in awareness. New England Patriots quarterback and cover boy Tom Brady is the only signal-caller higher than Rodgers. Matt Ryan, Drew Brees, and Ben Roethlisberger round out the top five.

Rodgers finished the 2016 season with a 97 overall rating.

Packers receiver Jordy Nelson was unable to crack the top-five for wideouts, but he did earn an honorable mention shoutout. EA Sports handed Nelson a 91 overall rating, right where he finished last season.

"Madden 18" will be released on Aug. 25.
