After former Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings called out coach Mike McCarthy last week, quarterback Aaron Rodgers had a message for his coach: “We got his back.”

Rodgers told TODAY’S TMJ4’s Lance Allan that he and the rest of the team are not concerned with,” ...comments coming from outside the facility, especially by people who haven’t been around the facility in a number of years…”

Jennings lashed out at McCarthy last week on Fox Sports 1 talk show “Undisputed,” saying his conservative tactics held the Packers back.

“If we had a lead, our issue wasn’t the defense, our issue was Mike McCarthy,” Jennings said. “He would cuff us. When you watch New England play, when they have a lead, they go for your throat, they don’t relax.”

Rodgers responded in defense of his coach, saying he’s more concerned with the opinions of his teammates and coaching staff.

“I’ve made it pretty well known how I feel about Mike,” Rodgers said. “He’s our leader and...we follow his lead and we love Mike. We believe in him, and he believes in us, and so we got his back.”

Jennings retired from the NFL last summer. The Packers report for training camp at St. Norbert College on July 25.
