Josef Newgarden loves Road America. One he's envious of the party type atmosphere with one of Wisconsin's favorite foods, that tempt him.

"I think the brats are hard to restrain yourself from...I was just talking about it. I, you know, I love going to a ballgame. Getting a hot dog, and enjoying it," Newgarden exclaims. "And for me, like, it's a different type of enjoyment. I'm there workin'!"

And that pregame tailgate atmosphere carries over to the after party, which he experienced after winning last year, when a fan entered victory lane.

"Someone stole my champagne or didn't steal it but there was a lady in the audience, that took my champagne bottle...which was kind of funny. So it's cool. That's kind of the up close, action that you can get, at Road America," Newgarden says with a laugh.

Newgarden stopped by the TMJ4 studios. He's the defending winner at Road America. He won the last Indy Car race. And he's the current points leader. Things could be much better. But he puts it up another notch, as his sponsor Rev Group honors active first responders, by giving them free tickets.

"I think a small way that we can pay thanks...but it's really just giving them a weekend, to enjoy with their families, and that's what it is," Newgarden says.
