The Wisconsin Badgers, who are attempting to make an undefeated run unprecedented in modern school history, will not have one of their most explosive offensive weapons for the remainder of the year.
Jason Galloway of the Wisconsin State Journal reports that Quntez Cephus, a wide receiver, will be out for the rest of 2017 after surgery on his leg.
Cephus injured the leg Saturday in Wisconsin's win over Indiana. He had caught six touchdowns as part of his 30 catch, 501-yard year.
This has been an emotional year for Cephus, His father had been murdered in April outside a convenience store in Macon, Ga.
