A report says that the Milwaukee Bucks now have a name for their developmental team to be based in Oshkosh this fall.
WTMJ's Doug Russell reports that the team has released the name "Wisconsin Herd" to an e-mail list. The name has also been registered on Twitter.
The name is most certainly in reference to the term being used for multiple deer - something that is a part of the natural landscape of the state.
The Bucks have not made an official comment; they have said a special announcement is set for Saturday at the team's block party in Milwaukee.
The team is expected to start playing games in October or November; no schedule has been released.
