A news conference will be held soon to announce the hire, the team says.
Former Atlanta Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer has agreed to become the next Bucks head coach, an NBA source confirmed to TODAY'S TMJ4.
Bucks President Peter Feigin was on Live at Daybreak Thursday morning and confirmed "we will have an exciting announcement later today."
Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo and former Budenholzer had breakfast in Milwaukee Thursday, the NBA source confirmed.
Once the contract is officially signed, the announcement will be made.
Budenholzer has been at the top of the Bucks head coaching candidate list throughout the offseason, and this only affirms the interest from the two sides.
The 2014-2015 NBA coach of the year had his second interview with the Bucks in New York yesterday, according to multiple sources, and this interview, unlike the first included Milwaukee's ownership group.
