Bucks fever has hit Milwaukee as the team comes home for the NBA playoffs and it had fans rallying outside the BMO Harris Bradley Center before tip off Thursday night.
The theme of the game was Fear the Deer. The fans helped lead a blackout in the stadium with all black shirts handed out before the game. But before people even went through the door they were revved up for a win.
Fan were shouting out their team pride.
"Go Bucks Go!" yelled the crowd as they cheered on the Bucks mascot Bango.
The pep rally before the first home playoffs game brought out the supporters.
"Huge Bucks fan, I mean I have been one since I was born," said Adam Bultman.
But one Milwaukee man says he has all the other fans beat!
"I saw Kareem and Oscar so I have been a Bucks fan for a long time," said Michael Nielson.
And he raised his son to be one too!
"This old school shirt, straight from my dad, still wearing it," said Todd Nielson.
They went to half the homes game this year. The playoffs were the dream.
"We're here, we weren't going to miss. This is awesome," Michael said.
Their excitement might only be matched by a 16-year-old super fan. Jake Gonzalez knows this is the Bucks year.
"Bucks are going to take it in 5. And then they are going to sweep the Cavs next round," said Gonzalez. "They're bringing the trophy home."
And they will be doing it with a whole city behind them!
