MILWAUKEE -- Fiserv Forum is of course the home of the red hot Milwaukee Bucks.

While they are in the final stretch of their season on top of the NBA, some new businesses are just getting started in the new arena's entertainment district.

One year ago, there wasn't much going on outside the Bradley Center.

Now with Fiserv Forum, it's far from that anymore, and Lexi Zambon and Richard Anderson are taking it all in.

"There's so much to do. You can go to the Bucks games. There's so much activity and energy. Great food, great drinks," Zambon said.

She and Anderson are die-hard Bucks fans, so much so, they live just two blocks away from Fiserv Forum.

Besides the new arena, they can't get over the development happening next door.

"It's so nice to be so close to something like this," Anderson said.

"You're right there. You don't even have to take a car. It's so walkable," Zambon added.

What's being called the "entertainment block" is coming into its own, especially after Punch Bowl Social opened its doors this weekend.

The venue, offering fresh food and drinks, along with activities like bowling and karaoke, is already getting a crowd.

Chief Culinary and Beverage Officer Sheamus Feeley isn't surprised because they've had a lot of success next to arenas in cities across the country.

"Our guests love it. It's a great place to stop in before a game or a show, or afterwards as well," Feeley said.

They moved in just feet away from Good City Brewing, which officially opened a few weeks ago.

"We really wanted to participate in Milwaukee's resurgence and what better example of that than what the Bucks are putting together downtown," Co-founder David Dupee said.

Dupee said they couldn't have scripted a better opening with the season the Bucks are having.

"This is just the beginning and it's pretty exciting to think what this is going to be like over the next six months," Dupee said.

Now there's only one thing left to say.

"Go Bucks! Fear the deer! We're here, we're here to stay!" Zambon said.

"Let's go Milwaukee! Let's go!" Anderson added.

Soon the block will fill up even more.

Look out for the openings of Mecca Sports Bar and Drink Wisconsinably this spring.
