The Brewers-Giants game was extraordinary in every sense of the word, and it ends up with the Brewers in control of their destiny in the National League Central after an amazing 6-3 victory.

The craziness started with the 6th inning and Milwaukee trailing 2-1 to San Francisco.

Giants ace Madison Bumgarner threw three inside pitches at Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun, including the third which hit him. The two sides had benches clear for a verbal altercation, and the umpire threw out Brewers manager Craig Counsell at that point. Counsell got into a heated argument with

Later that inning, the Brewers' Jonathan Schoop, who has struggled since coming to Milwaukee in a trade, made up for it with one fell swing - a grand slam home run to give Milwaukee a 5-2 lead they would not relinquish.

Milwaukee's win puts them two games behind the Chicago Cubs - the very team they face the next three days in Chicago. If they sweep the Cubs the way they did the Giants, the Brewers will earn the NL Central lead for the first time since July 31.
