Saturday night will be only the fourth Game 7 in Milwaukee baseball history, and just the second in Brewers history.

The last one was in 1982, the last time the Brewers were in the World Series. The St. Louis Cardinals won that game 6-3. That game was played 36 years ago Friday.

The Brewers had a 3-2 lead in the series but lost the final two games in St. Louis.

The last time a Milwaukee team won a Game 7 was in 1957 when the Milwaukee Braves beat the New York Yankees to win the World Series. They took the MLB championship 5-0 at Yankee Stadium.

In a World Series rematch in 1958, the Yankees beat the Braves 6-2 in the only other Game 7 played in Milwaukee until Saturday.

Let’s hope this Game 7 at Miller Park is the first victory at home in Milwaukee baseball history!
